Margie is an accomplished baker classically trained in the pastry arts at L’Academie Cuisine and under former White House Pastry Chef, Ann Amernick.  She has worked as a baker, instructor, has co-authored a cookbook, and is currently the owner of her own catering business in Bethesda, MD and Stonington, ME. 

Having grown up spending summers in southern Maine, Margie now finds herself in Stonington, Maine where she combines her love of baking with her love of Downeast Maine. Established in 2015, Stonington Baking Company blends Margie’s knowledge of classical pastry with her creativity, experimentation, foraging, and a respect for seasonal ingredients.

When not at home baking desserts to order, she’s out exploring, gardening, kayaking… enjoying her time in Maine and Maryland with her family and her loyal companion, Teddy.
